Pandora’s Secret // El Secreto de Pandora

Observing through a peephole. Watching without being seen, in secrecy, depriving others from their image and staring at things. Nosing around with confidence of not being seen helps us pay attention to details that otherwise may go unnoticed. Monitoring and scrutinizing while the heart goes pit-a-pat as we think of being discovered.

The researcher, the spy, the curious, the prowler, the viewer, the eavesdropper. Curiosity succumbs to temptation and attraction appears inherent for looking at the forbidden. The one who wants to come closer is invited to look, under own responsibility, through the peephole, letting all human misfortunes (the plague, madness, sadness, aging, passion, crime …) and hope inoculate oneself.

Observar desde la mirilla. Mirar sin ser visto, a hurtadillas, desposeer a los otros de su imagen y echar una mirada más fija y continua a las cosas. Curiosear con la tranquilidad de no ser vistos nos ayuda a fijarnos en los detalles que, de otro modo, pueden pasar desapercibidos. Vigilar, escudriñar con el latido rápido de pensar que podríamos ser descubiertos.

El investigador, el espía, el curioso, el merodeador, el contemplador, el fisgón. La curiosidad sucumbe a la tentación y la atracción inherente por contemplar lo prohibido se nos presenta. Quién quiera que se acerque está invitado a observar, bajo su responsabilidad, por la mirilla, dejándose inocular por todas las desgracias humanas ( la plaga, la locura, la tristeza, la vejez, la pasión, el crimen…) y la esperanza.
